Sarah Essila S.E.

Project Engineer

Being the first female engineer in company history, Sarah’s attention to detail, organization, great attitude and her ability to communicate effectively have blazed a wide trail for other women to follow. She is analytical and solutions oriented, as well as admittedly being fluent in “contractor.” Sarah is a good listener and can identify and delegate tasks to efficiently get the job done.

What co-workers have to say about Sarah:

"Sarah has a sharp mind and a quick wit. She’s the fastest walker in the office and keeps our company strolls around the office complex on pace."

Greatest Accomplishments:

  • Personally: It doesn’t necessarily feel like an “accomplishment” exactly, but I’d say it’s sticking with pickleball. At first, it was just super stressful because I’ve never played sports other than soccer and have no hand eye-coordination. But with lots of practice and court time, I have gotten to a skill level that three years ago I would have never guessed I could achieve. I’ve also made a lot of friends out on the courts. Best of all, I’m still improving!
  • Professionally: Getting my PE. My dad was also an engineer but didn’t get licensed. It was his biggest regret career-wise.
  • Biggest Pet Peeve: Bad grammar.
  • I am known for: Being the only woman in the office.
